1 Corinthians 1:1-3
1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes, 2 To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours: 3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Quick Notes
As we start the travels through the Corinthians together, let us look at a couple of things. If you have accepted Christ as your savior or call yourself a Christian, you have also been called to be holy - to be set apart for the mission and message of Christ. This may seem daunting as we easily see how we suck it up. But the great thing is that is by grace that we are called, and it is by grace we are able to accomplish the mission and message. Paul opens and ends every one of his letters with an affirmation of grace; so let grace guide us as we move forward in faith.
Quick Questions
How much grace do you feel like you have in your life? Do you think Christ can use you to give grace to others? Why or why not?
Quick Prayer
Christ Jesus, may your grace be sufficient for me as I learn to live a holy life. Amen.
